On three-dimensional free surface water flows with constant vorticity

چکیده
<p style='text-indent:20px;'>We present a survey of recent results on gravity water flows satisfying the three-dimensional wave problem with constant (non-vanishing) vorticity vector. The main focus is to show that flow non-vanishing has two-dimensional character in spite equations. More precisely, does not change one two horizontal directions. Passing rotating frame, and introducing thus geophysical effects (in form Coriolis acceleration) into governing equations, remains place. However, two-dimensionality manifests now plane. Adding also centripetal terms equations further simplifies (under assumption vector): velocity field vanishes, but, however, pressure function quadratic polynomial vertical variables, and, surprisingly, surface non-flat.</p>

Regularity of Traveling Free Surface Water Waves with Vorticity
Abstract. We prove real analyticity of all the streamlines, including the free surface, of a gravityor capillary-gravity-driven steady flow of water over a flat bed, with a Hölder continuous vorticity function, provided that the propagating speed of the wave on the free surface exceeds the horizontal fluid velocity throughout the flow. Furthermore, if the vorticity possesses some Gevrey regular...
متن کاملAnalyticity of periodic traveling free surface water waves with vorticity
We prove that the profile of a periodic traveling wave propagating at the surface of water above a flat bed in a flow with a real analytic vorticity must be real analytic, provided the wave speed exceeds the horizontal fluid velocity throughout the flow. The real analyticity of each streamline beneath the free surface holds even if the vorticity is only Hölder continuously differentiable.

We provide high-order approximations to periodic travelling wave profiles and to the velocity field and the pressure beneath the waves, in flows with constant vorticity over a flat bed.
متن کاملTHREE DIMENSIONAL MODELING OF TURBULENT FLOW WITH FREE SURFACE IN MOLD FILLING
In the present study a Finite Difference Method has been developed to model the transient incompressible turbulent free surface fluid flow. A single fluid has been selected for modeling of mold filling and The SOLA VOF 3D technique was modified to increase the accuracy of simulation of filling phenomena for shape castings. For modeling the turbulence phenomena k-e standard model was used. In or...
متن کاملOn the Motion of Vortex Sheets with Surface Tension in Three-Dimensional Euler Equations with Vorticity
The motion of vortex sheets with surface tension has been analyzed in the setting of irrotational flows by Ambrose [1] and Ambrose and Masmoudi [2] in two dimensions, and by Ambrose and Masmoudi [3] in three dimensions. With irrotationality, the nonlinear Euler equations reduce to Poisson’s equation for the pressure function in the bulk, and the motion of the vortex sheet is decoupled from that...
